A Level students achieve improved high-grade performance
Barnet and Southgate College's A Level students recorded an overall 84.2% pass rate, with a significant increase in higher grades.
24.3% of students achieved A* to B grades, up from 21.5% in 2025, demonstrating continued improvements in attainment and academic excellence.
As well as higher apprenticeships and employment, students are progressing to an impressive range of higher education destinations.
T Level students continue to excel
Students studying T Levels achieved an overall 90.5% pass rate, with 61.9% achieving a Merit grade or above.
The results underline the growing success of T Levels and the College's commitment to providing high-quality technical education aligned to employer needs and future workforce demands.
This year's results were achieved by students studying:
- T Level in Building Services Engineering for Construction
- T Level in Design and Development for Engineering and Manufacturing
- T Level in Education and Early Years
- T Level in Healthcare Science
- T Level in Science
Many students will now progress into higher education, apprenticeships and employment, building on the technical knowledge and industry experience gained through their studies and mandatory industry placements.
Narges, who studied A Level Chemistry, Maths and Physics, achieving AAAA grades, said:
" I am so happy, and I got AAA! I'm heading to Queen Mary University to study Mechanical Engineering."
Shreya, who achieved a Distinction in T Level Education and Early Years, and is going to Middlesex University, said:
"I came here to the UK and spoke no English and no friends, but with the support of my teachers and peers, I built my confidence and feel I have done well!”
Stella, who secured a Distinction in T Level Science, said:
“I am in total disbelief; the College helped me so much, the teachers were great! My teacher, Nneka, helped me so much and encouraged me to try something different, and I got a great result! I’m planning to study Medicine Dispensary and then go on to do an Apprenticeship”
