This qualification is intended for those who assess in the work environment and in other training environments such as workshops or classrooms. To achieve the 15 credit certificate, you need to pass all 3 units: Unit 1 - Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment Unit 2 - Assess Occupational Competence in the Work Environment Unit 3 - Assess Vocational, Skills, Knowledge and Understanding

Level 2 literacy. You will need to be working as an assessor as you need to show competence in both knowledge and skills. You will also need 2 candidates to assess and a mentor to support you during the course

In class and in the workplace. You will attend 4 class- based input sessions where we will look at the principles and practices of assessment. You will then be assessed in your workplace with your 2 candidates.

You will be assessed by your tutor or assessor using a range of methods. You must also carry out least two assessments of 2 candidates to meet the requirements for units 1 and 2. You will also complete a portfolio to evidence Unit 1.

On successful completion of this course, students will achieve a Certificate in Assessing Vocational Assessment

Yes, you will need to meet with a member of staff for an interview and an initial assessment.

Students will have to purchase reading materials and resources, the nature of which will be discussed at interview.
