To develop an understanding of different perspectives of death and dying, and the impact it has on individuals. It covers the aims and principles of end of life care, communication factors and how to access a range of support services in end of life care. The course is delivered by specialist staff from the North London Hospice.

No formal entry requirements are required, however Level 1 Literacy must be demonstrated. It would be beneficial if the applicant worked as a volunteer in a hospice, care home, care in the community setting or in primary care.

You must attend classes for 2 days and achieve 3 credits from 1 mandatory unit.

You will be assessed through classwork and a written assessment.
