VACANCY Main Grade Lecturer in ALS

£29,359 to £38,763 per annum (pro rata, inclusive of Outer London weighting – FTE from £29,379 to £38,763)


35 hrs a week, 52 weeks per year


[Wood Street and Southgate Campus mainly] but post holder may  be required to work from all campuses and external event locations

Candidates will have some experience in working with learners with learning difficulties and disabilities enrolled in mainstream programmes of study but requiring additional support. You will be able to help learners develop their basic skills and strategies to encourage independent learning. This will be done on a 1:1 basis, pairs or workshops.

You will have a teaching qualification, a Patoss qualification or being working towards one and GCSEs English and Maths grade A or B.  You will have at least two years’ experience of teaching in an educational setting, ideally in further education, a good understanding of the current issues and good practice, an empathy with our students and a flexible, well-organised approach

You will have experience in working with learners with a range of needs such as Autism, EBD or Mental Health conditions.

You must be able to work with and motivate colleagues, as well as work on your own initiative. If this is you, we look forward to receiving your application.
