Course outline

Tools and techniques to help pupils eat well at school

Barnet and Southgate College has teamed up with Feel Good Family, leading experts in changing food environments in creative ways to make it easier for your customers to live well and keep them coming back for more.

This workshop accredited by Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance, half day, face to face training session will equip you and your team with the knowledge on how to apply fully researched evidence based behavioural and consumer science processes and principles to the food environment.

Prior to attendance you will be emailed 3 brief workshop tasks, this is to ensure the workshop is as productive as possible.

The workshop is divided up into 3 areas:

Starters – Unit 1 - Why should feeling good matter (3 modules)

  • Module 1 Where are we now and how did we get here?
  • Module 2 What has this led to?
  • Module 3 We are at a turning point

Main Course – Unit 2 - The Science (2 modules)

  • Module 1 How can we change behaviours?
  • Module 2 What is the answer?

Dessert – Unit 3 - Feel Good Solutions for your environment (4modules)

  • Module 1 My food environments priorities and pressures
  • Module 2 The sensory environment
  • Module 3 My food environments solutions
  • Module 4 What does success look like?

During Unit 3 you will develop a tailored plan for your food environment.

Businesses with a strong children’s offer may wish to use the Feel Good Family brand the Gizmos that help children understand what they need to eat and why.

Training can be delivered on your premises or at a local venue.
