ESOL

One out of four of the world's population speak English to some level of competence. English is spoken as a first language by around 375 million and it is thought the numbers of people speaking it as a second language probably outnumber those who speak it as a first language.

It is no surprise that living in London whilst struggling to speak the language is challenging at both a professional and social level. With eighty per cent of the world's electronically stored information in English, simply using the web to apply for a job; to search for information from your local council or to find things to do at the weekend makes having a good grasp of English essential.

We improve our learners’ language skills and also equip them with the essential employment skills necessary to find work or to progress onto other courses within the College.  So our learners can study ESOL whilst learning about Health and Social Care, Business, Childcare, IT, Science or Beauty. We also run a large ESOL Jobcentre Plus provision across Barnet and Enfield which has helped one fifth of our five hundred learners gain work.

Our ESOL and ESOL Vocational courses are available across four campuses, the part time courses our offered over various days and times please contcat the college for to confirm availability.
