Candidates working with in the vehicle crash repair and service industry who have already achieved the Level 2 award in routine maintenance activities on electrically propelled vehicles. (Please note candidates can complete both Level 2 and Level 3 awards as part of a continuous 2 day course)

Candidates need to have already achieved the Level 2 award in routine maintenance activities on electrically propelled vehicles to be accepted for the Level 3 award

The course consists of multiple units from which technicians will gain knowledge of high voltage hybrid technologies and an understanding of their dangers. Topics covered include health and safety in hybrid engineering and understanding hybrid electric vehicle systems, how to make the vehicle safe and remove and replace the high voltage battery system

There will be a combination of practical and on line assessments
