The Level 1 ESOL Health and Social Care course is aimed at anyone who would like a career in caring for adults or children. The course allows ESOL learners to improve English language skills alongside gaining a Level 1 Certificate in Health and Social Care.

To qualify for this course, students need to be eligible to study ESOL; have an ESOL Entry 3 Certificate (or equivalent level) and be interested in caring for adults or children.

Students will study ESOL (English for Students of Other Languages), health and social care (Level 1), functional skills maths and functional skills ICT.

Continuous classroom assessment

On successful completion of this course, students will achieve - ESOL Level 1 Certificate in Speaking and Listening, Reading and Writing; Functional Skills maths; Functional Skills ICT; Level 1 Certificate in Introduction to Health, Social Care and Children's and Young Peoples Settings
