For men and women seeking a career in beauty or spa therapy.

You should have GCSE grades A-C (7/8 - 4/5) in English, maths and science and a Level 2 diploma in beauty therapy. A satisfactory reference, good manual dexterity and communication skills are also necessary for this course.

You will study a whole range of beauty and spa therapy skills: anatomy and physiology, body massage, facial and body electrotherapy treatments, dry spa treatments and electrical epilation. The course also covers employer involvement and how to sell products to clients

Students will undergo the following assessments towards the end of the course: externally set, marked and graded tests and assignments, a graded practical exam day and a portfolio of creative work. Maths and English are assessed as part of the course.

You will need to complete an application form and drop it into the College - either online, by post or in person.

Each learner will need to provide make-up and hair equipment tools and products; you will also need textbooks, a makeup uniform and stationery. It would be an advantage to have a good quality camera or phone to capture still and moving images but we will let you know more about costs and equipment at your interview.
