For students interested in tourism, events and business and who wish to pursue a career in the industry this is the ideal course. It provides the perfect platform to move on to the BTEC Level 3 Diploma.

You should have the following qualifications in order to apply: TWO GCSE's at grade '4' or above in academic subjects; one of which MUST BE GCSE Grade '4' or above in maths OR English, with a suitable academic reference; OR LEVEL 1 in a relevant Subject and GCSE '4' or above in either maths OR English, with a suitable academic reference.

A range of topics will be covered in this course to give a basic grounding in the travel and torurism business. Among these are: an introduction to the travel and tourism industry, an introduction to tourist destinations, marketing, business accounting and human resource management.

Assessment is continuous through assignments across the year.

On successful completion of this course you will achieve a Level 2 Travel & Tourism certificate and a Level 2 Business certificate.
